Job summary

GMS Elegant Builders in Tamil Nadu is seeking an experienced finance professional to manage day-to-day accounting, prepare financial statements, and oversee costing and budgets for construction projects.

The role involves coordinating with auditors for statutory, internal, and tax audits, ensuring proper documentation, and handling payments to contractors and sub-contractors in compliance with applicable taxes and ROC filings.

Qualifications

• CA Inter / M.Com / MBA (Finance) or B.Com with relevant experience.
• 4-8 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction.
• Proficiency in Tally ERP, SAP, Excel and GST/TDS filing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting transactions (Journal Entries, Ledger Scrutiny, Bank Reconciliation).
• Maintain accounts payable & receivable with timely vendor payments and collections.
• Prepare financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Monitor costing, budgets and variance analysis for construction projects.
• Coordinate with auditors for statutory, internal, and tax audits.
• Ensure documentation and record-keeping for audits.
• Assist in schedules and reconciliations for audits.
• Handle contractor & sub-contractor payments in line with taxation laws.
• Ensure ROC filings and other statutory obligations are met.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

3. Software Skills: Tally ERP, SAP, MS Excel, GST & TDS filing portals
4. Key Skills: Taxation, Auditing, Financial Reporting, Cost Control

Preferred:

• Familiarity with Banking & Loan Documentation for construction projects
