Job summary

PGR Infra Projects is seeking a Chartered Accountant or commerce-qualified professional with construction accounting experience to join the finance team in Karnataka. You will manage ledgers, invoicing, budgets, and statutory compliances while ensuring profitability across projects.

The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Tally/SAP/ERP systems and Excel. Collaboration with auditors and timely reporting are essential.

Qualifications

• CA preferred; B.Com or M.Com acceptable based on experience.
• Experience in construction accounting and knowledge of GST/TDS returns.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel required.
• Ability to prepare reports, monitor costs, budgets and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger.
• Prepare invoices, process payments, and manage payables/receivables.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, and profitability.
• Reconcile bank statements and financial accounts.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Ensure statutory compliance (taxes, GST/VAT, PF/ESI).
• GST and TDS returns are prepared monthly.
• Assist budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Coordinate with auditors and ensure compliance with standards and policies.
• Maintain documentation for contracts, POs, and subcontractor payments.

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger.
• Prepare invoices, process payments, and manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, and profitability.
• Reconcile bank statements and financial accounts.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Process and ensure statutory compliance (taxes, GST/VAT, PF/ESI, etc., as applicable).
• Monthly GST returns.
• Monthly TDS Returns.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Coordinate with auditors and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Maintain documentation for contracts, purchase orders, and subcontractor payments.

Preferred candidate profile

Requirements

• 5-10 Years of Experience in Construction field only.
• Chartered Accountant Is Preferred. (B.Com or M.Com are also preferred based on the experience).
• Knowledge of accounting principles and construction accounting.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, or ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Konwledge in GST and TDS returns.
