Job summary

The role will require leadership of the accounts team, coordination with auditors, and timely financial analysis to support management decisions. Mumbai-based position with full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance is required.
• CA Inter / M.Com / MBA Finance adds advantage.
• 58 years of relevant experience in accounts and finance is required.
• Experience in the construction/real estate industry is preferred.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Manager to manage day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, statutory compliances, taxation, vendor payments, reconciliations, and financial controls. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting practices and preferably experience in the construction/real estate industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including purchases, sales, receipts, payments and journal entries.
• Maintain accurate books of accounts and ensure timely closure of monthly accounts.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and MIS reports.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable, vendor payments and customer collections.
• Perform bank, vendor, customer and ledger reconciliations.
• Manage GST compliance, including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, reconciliations and related documentation.
• Ensure timely TDS returns, payments and other applicable statutory compliances.
• Coordinate with auditors, consultants, banks and statutory authorities.
• Monitor project-wise expenses, budgets, costs and profitability.
• Review contractor, subcontractor and vendor bills and supporting documents.
• Ensure proper accounting and documentation of project-related transactions.
• Monitor advances, recoveries, retention amounts and outstanding balances.
• Assist management with budgeting, cash-flow planning and financial analysis.
• Establish and maintain appropriate internal financial controls.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax laws and company policies.
• Supervise and guide the accounts team and ensure timely completion of assigned work.
• Support management during audits, financial reviews and other finance-related requirements.

Construction Industry Responsibilities

• Maintain project-wise accounting and cost tracking.
• Monitor RA bills, contractor bills, work orders, purchase orders and related accounting entries.
• Track project advances, retention money, mobilization advances and recoveries.
• Coordinate with project teams for verification of expenses and bills.
• Prepare project-wise cost and profitability reports.
• Monitor material, labour, subcontracting and other project-related expenses.

Eligibility & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance.
• CA Inter / M.Com / MBA Finance will be an added advantage.
• 58 years of relevant experience in accounts and finance.
• Experience in the construction/real estate industry preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, income tax and statutory compliances.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and accounting/ERP software.
• Strong analytical, reconciliation and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and team-management abilities.
