Job summary

Cast Craft Pvt. Ltd. in Karnataka seeks an experienced machinist to operate and program 5-axis CNC and DMU machines, preferably with Heidenhain control.

You will load parts/tools, set offsets, run programs, and inspect parts to ensure first-piece quality. You should be able to interpret process sheets, manage tool life, maintain fixtures and measurement instruments, keep logs and self-inspection reports, and perform regular maintenance checks.

Qualifications

• Experience operating 5-axis machines with DMU; Heidenhain control preferred.
• Ability to read and follow process sheets, load parts/tools, enter offsets, run machines and inspect parts.
• Familiarity with single-block operations during NPD and applying process engineer guidance.
• Knowledge of cutter/insert application and tool life considerations.
• Maintain fixtures, tools and measuring instruments in good condition.
• Maintain production log books, communication books and self-inspection reports.
• Perform daily/weekly maintenance checks as per list.

Responsibilities

• Maintain housekeeping and organize work area.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Fluency in operating 5 axis machines with simultaneous axes functioning. Experience in DMU machine with Heidenhain control is preferable.
• Capable enough to understand and follow the process sheet loading the part/ tools, offset entry, run the machine and inspection before taking out the part
• During NPD, familiar to run in single block, minor changes (if reqd) as per process engineer suggestion, using right tools, put all effort to take out the first part right.
• Should have good knowledge in cutter / insert application, parameter selection , broad idea on tool life,
• Maintaining fixtures, tools, measuring instruments in respective locations in good condition.
• Maintain production log book, communication book and self inspection report updated any point of time.
• To carry out daily / weekly checks as per maintenance check list,

To have ownership in maintaining house keeping , machine cleaning regularly

DMU machine with Heidenhain control is preferable.

Operating and programming of VMC and CNC machine.

Ready to work in night shift .

Should have experience on Fanuc, Mitsubishi and Siemens controls
