You will operate CNC turning, milling and other CNC equipment, monitor processes, and coordinate with production and quality teams to meet daily targets while adhering to safety and 5S standards.

Qualifications

• ITI or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2 years CNC operator experience.
• Industry experience in manufacturing, machining, automobile or engineering.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines such as turning, milling, VMC or HMC.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and job specs.
• Set up machines with tools, fixtures and workpieces as required.
• Perform tool setting and basic machine adjustments.
• Monitor operations for accuracy and productivity.
• Inspect components using Vernier, micrometers and gauges.
• Check dimensions against drawings and quality standards.
• Identify machining defects and report deviations.
• Troubleshoot and perform routine machine maintenance.
• Maintain production, inspection and shift reports.
• Follow safety, 5S and housekeeping standards.
• Coordinate with production and quality teams to hit daily targets.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines such as CNC Turning, CNC Milling, VMC, or HMC machines.
• Read and understand engineering drawings, machining drawings, and job specifications.
• Set up machines by loading tools, fixtures, and workpieces as per requirements.
• Perform tool setting, workpiece loading/unloading, and basic machine adjustments.
• Monitor machine operations to ensure accuracy and productivity.
• Inspect finished components using measuring instruments such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, and Gauges.
• Check component dimensions as per drawings and quality standards.
• Identify machining defects and report deviations to the supervisor.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and routine machine maintenance.
• Maintain production records, inspection reports, and shift reports.
• Follow safety procedures, 5S practices, and workplace housekeeping standards.
• Coordinate with the production and quality teams to achieve daily production targets.

Key Skills Required

• Hands-on experience operating CNC machines.
• Basic knowledge of CNC programming and G-code/M-code is an advantage.
• Knowledge of engineering drawings and tolerances.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments.
• Knowledge of cutting tools, tool offsets, and machining processes.
• Ability to meet production and quality targets.
