You will read drawings, select tools, perform dry runs, monitor cycles and inspect parts with precision instruments, while maintaining records and adhering to 5S and safety norms.

Qualifications

• ITI/Diploma/BE in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 2–3 years hands-on VMC operator experience.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Capable of setting up tooling, fixtures and offsets.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate VMC machines for production runs.
• Select cutting tools, fixtures and offsets.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and process sheets.
• Perform dry runs and trial machining to ensure accuracy.
• Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments.
• Inspect finished components using measuring instruments (vernier, micrometer, bore gauge, height gauge, etc.).
• Maintain production records and ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Carry out routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and 5S compliance in the work area.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled VMC Operator who will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating Vertical Machining Centers (VMC) to produce precision components as per engineering drawings. The role requires strong technical knowledge of VMC machining, tooling, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma / BE in Mechanical Engineering or relevant trade.

Experience

• 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience as a VMC Operator

Preferred Attributes

• Experience in batch and job work production.
• Knowledge of ISO standards and quality control procedures.
