Job summary

Fota Island Resort is hiring a Wedding & Events Sales Co-ordinator to join our Events Department, an entry level role designed to develop a career in Event Management or Sales. You will work on weddings, corporate events, and show rounds, while learning Opera Cloud bookings and client coordination.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Weddings and Events administration standards are met and follow up enquiries.
• Utilise Opera Cloud input/booking procedures per standards.
• Coordinate corporate events and show rounds of hotel and meeting rooms.
• Coordinate wedding arrangements with clients including tours and proposals.
• Site inspections with clients and daily office tasks with Events team.
• Sales actions include showing facilities, upselling, and seeking new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all Weddings and Events administration standards are met as per current response time to enquiries and correspondence and maintain system for active follow-up
• Utilise Opera Cloud input/booking procedures as per current Standards.
• Coordination of corporate events including show rounds of hotel and meeting rooms
• Coordination of wedding arrangements with bride and groom, including initial hotel and grounds tour, reception plans, and proposals
• Site Inspections with clients when required
• Daily office administration duties in collaboration with the Events team
• Sales responsibilities include showing potential customers around the hotel, upselling every department, as well as looking for new business opportunities through cold calling, telephone sales, mail shots, and other methods.
• Build network in organisations that may directly or indirectly impact our business as appropriate
• Research market trends and generate new ideas for service and products that will maintain a Competitive and leading edge over our Competitive set
• Attend Sales and Marketing Meetings and any other internal meetings where required
• Flexible working hours as the business requires
