Fota Island Resort in Ireland is seeking a Wedding & Events Sales Manager to lead our weddings and events operation at our 5-star resort. You will drive strategy, convert inquiries to bookings and oversee a high-performing team.

You will manage pricing, forecasts and client relationships, utilise Opera cloud for bookings, and collaborate across departments to maximise guest satisfaction and revenue. Excellent English communication, hospitality experience at senior level, and an ability to work

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in weddings and events.
• Experience managing and developing a team.
• Strong track record in converting high volumes of wedding, conference and event enquiries into confirmed business.
• Excellent commercial awareness, including revenue management, pricing strategy, negotiation and forecasting.
• Experience managing multiple enquiries, client relationships and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Outstanding communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
• A proactive approach to business development, networking and account management.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to implement efficient systems and processes.
• Confidence working with CRM systems, event booking platforms and sales reporting tools.
• A professional, solutions-focused attitude and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Excellent Interpersonal skills
• Fluent English
• 3rd level Hospitality Diploma or equivalent desirable.

Responsabilités

• Lead, manage and develop the Wedding & Events team.
• Creation and implementation of the wedding and events strategy for Fota Island Resort.
• Establish clear processes, policies and standards to support an efficient proactive and results driven department.
• Maximise hotel revenue and guest satisfaction by ensuring accurate and effective processing of conference bookings, weddings and private functions.
• Prepare a weekly forecast for Weddings and Events when requested.
• Conduct client site inspections and wedding show-rounds.
• Responsible for the conversion of event and wedding enquiries.
• Manage and attend internal and external Wedding Showcases.
• Build strong relationships with couples, wedding planners, corporate clients and industry partners.
• Attend client entertainment evenings, industry events and trade shows if required.
• Actively seek out new sales leads.
• Utilize Opera cloud to its full capacity ensuring that bookings and activities are inputted correctly and that all follow up on enquires and existing bookings is completed in a timely manner.
• Ensure the issuing and receiving of all Wedding & Events contracts.
• Foster a collaborative relationship with all departments within the resort.
