Job summary

DSV – Global transport and logistics is seeking a Warehouse Operative in Naas, Ireland. Role involves loading/unloading, documentation, and safety compliance across international and domestic cargo. Mon-Fri, 39 hours per week, with training provided.

You will maintain accurate records, perform pre-operational checks, and ensure high safety and quality standards while supporting a dynamic logistics team.

Qualifications

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Certificate (essential).
• Good communication skills in English (written and verbal).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and use your own initiative.
• Reliable, responsible, and safety-conscious mindset.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and handle international import, export, and domestic cargo safely and efficiently.
• Check and document cargo condition on arrival, reporting damages or discrepancies.
• Complete warehouse documentation accurately and maintain operational records.
• Carry out visual inspections and pre-operational checks on equipment and report faults.
• Assess trailers before loading to ensure they are safe and suitable for operation.
• Complete loading/unloading manifests and related paperwork; training provided.
• Follow Health & Safety procedures and comply with IMDG/ADR requirements; training provided.
• Adhere to company security, quality, and operational standards and maintain a clean warehouse.

Warehouse Operative

Naas

What You'll Do

• Load, unload, and handle international import, export, and domestic cargo safely and efficiently.
• Check and document cargo condition on arrival, reporting any damages, discrepancies, or irregularities in line with company procedures.
• Complete warehouse documentation accurately and maintain operational records.
• Carry out visual inspections and pre-operational checks on mechanical handling equipment, reporting any faults identified.
• Assess trailers before loading to ensure they are safe and suitable for operation.
• Complete loading and unloading manifests and associated paperwork accurately. Training will be provided.
• Follow Health & Safety procedures and comply with IMDG and ADR requirements. Training will be provided where required.
• Adhere to company security, quality, and operational standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment.
• Demonstrate a high level of responsibility, reliability, and punctuality.
• Support the team in meeting customer requirements and service expectations.

What We're Looking For

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Certificate (essential).
• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Experience handling import, export, or domestic freight would be advantageous.
• Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and use your own initiative.
• Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer-focused approach with a commitment to providing a high level of service.
• Reliable, responsible, and safety-conscious mindset.
