DSV - Global Transport and Logistics in Naas, Ireland is seeking an Operations Assistant to support distribution planning and haulage coordination.

You will handle administrative duties, maintain KPIs, and work closely with drivers, suppliers and internal teams to ensure efficient transport operations. This role offers a structured environment with opportunities for growth within a global leader in logistics.

Responsibilities

• Plan, arrange, monitor, and control all aspects of distribution planning.
• Support haulage planning across national routes.
• Ensure compliance with quality policies and KPIs.
• Carry out general administrative duties, including invoicing, filing, handling queries, claims, and cost checking in line with departmental requirements.
• Respond promptly to general enquiries, escalating issues where necessary.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, drivers, suppliers, and other offices.
• Maximise the efficient utilisation of the vehicle fleet.
• Prepare accurate documentation for the warehouse team to support the timely loading and offloading of cargo.
• Produce reports and KPIs as required.
• Undertake any other duties as reasonably requested by management.

Operations Assistant

Naas

Mon-Fri 07.00-15.30, 08.00-16.30, 10.00-18.30, 37.5 hours, rotation of shifts

To meet customers' requirements for the safe and efficient transport of their cargo effectively and in accordance with company operational procedures and statutory requirements including Health & Safety to the satisfaction of clients and the profit of the company.

What will you be doing?

• Plan, arrange, monitor, and control all aspects of distribution planning
• Support haulage planning across national routes
• Ensure compliance with company quality policies and objectives, maintaining KPIs
• Carry out general administrative duties, including event management, invoicing, filing, handling queries, claims, and cost checking in line with departmental requirements
• Respond promptly to general enquiries, escalating issues where necessary
• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, drivers, suppliers, and other offices
• Maximise the efficient utilisation of the vehicle fleet
• Prepare accurate documentation for the warehouse team to support the timely loading and offloading of cargo

About You

Strong knowledge of the logistics and transport sector

Good problem-solving skills and good geographical knowledge of Ireland
