Job summary

Jones Engineering in Cork is seeking a Transmission & Distribution Administrator to support onsite teams at Little Island. You will manage project documents, coordinate procurement and maintain databases, with travel to sites as required.

The ideal candidate has 2-3 years in construction administration, strong IT skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to multi-task under tight deadlines. A proactive, detail‑oriented approach is essential.

Qualifications

• At least 2-3 years in a similar position in the construction industry desirable.
• Excellent IT skills essential.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail essential.
• Ability to multi-task and work well under strict deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Providing general administrative support to the onsite teams.
• Travel involved so needs to visit sites when requested.
• Liaising with contracts managers and construction staff.
• Control of critical documents via the project database and software tools.
• Assist with submission and tracking of project documentation, safety certs, risk assessments and method statements.
• General administration duties including data inputting, reporting and updating information efficiently.
• Assist with training co-ordination.
• Attend office and sites for meetings and visits - nationwide travel may be involved.
