Job summary

Jones Engineering seeks a Transmission and Distribution Civil Project Manager in Cork to lead delivery of renewable energy civil works.

You will plan, coordinate and manage project teams, maintain safety standards, manage subcontractors, and report to the Renewables Division Operations Manager. The role requires 3–5 years on-site experience in wind/solar grid connections and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• 3–5 years’ site-based construction experience.
• Experience delivering renewable energy projects (wind/solar); 38kV/110kV/220kV substations and BESS is a plus.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, control and manage delivery of projects within cost, time and quality constraints.
• Lead and coordinate project teams including direct labour and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with codes, regulations and health & safety standards; promote a strong safety culture.
• Carry out regular site inspections and verify adherence to specifications and quality benchmarks.
• Report progress to senior management and stakeholders; manage client expectations and value.
• Deliver projects from pre-construction through handover within budget; oversee project P&L and cross-functional teams.
