Job summary

Jones Engineering in Co. Meath, Ireland, seeks a Transmission and Distribution Engineer (Civil, Structural & Architectural) to join a multidisciplinary team. The role covers design, coordination, and on-site delivery across wind and solar projects with a pathway toward Chartered Engineer status.

You will report to the Project Manager, review drawings, manage sub-contractors, and contribute to BIM and 2D/3D drawings to meet project milestones in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering degree required.
• Proven site-based construction experience in renewable energy projects (wind/solar).
• 3-5 years in a similar role is essential.
• Strong leadership and delegation abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Report to Project Manager on progress, risks and issues.
• Analyse supplier/sub-contractor information for design alignment.
• Review technical drawings and project specifications.
• Lead design reviews and validate equipment and systems.
• Coordinate with electrical designers to ensure civil requirements are met.
• Produce civil & structural drawings using 2D/3D tools and BIM input.
• Assist with tendering and on-site quality reviews.
