Job summary

AbbVie Ireland seeks an accomplished Talent Acquisition Team Lead to lead an in-house TA team supporting pharmaceutical operations across Ireland. Reporting to the Ireland Talent Acquisition Manager, you will translate the TA strategy into high-quality execution across sites and business areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Extensive recruitment experience in pharma, biotech, healthcare, life sciences or regulated industry.
• Demonstrated people leadership experience, including coaching and workload management.
• Proven end-to-end recruitment for professional, technical, leadership roles.
• Excellent attention to detail, sound judgement and potential for broader leadership.
• Experience partnering with senior leaders and HR to support business priorities.
• Knowledge of employment practices, governance, data privacy and compliance.
• Experience using ATS, recruiting analytics and market insights.
• Track record building diverse, sustainable pipelines for difficult roles.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop an assigned team of Talent Acquisition professionals.
• Translate Ireland TA strategy into practical priorities and measurable outcomes.
• Allocate workloads and monitor hiring plans and service levels.
• Manage end-to-end recruitment for senior, specialist, or business-critical roles.
• Build trusted relationships with site leaders and HR functions.
• Use workforce data and market intelligence to forecast demand and identify risks.
• Ensure a high-quality, inclusive candidate and hiring-manager experience.
• Maintain requisition governance, approvals, offers, and reporting.
• Support workforce planning, headcount, and budget discussions.
• Partner with Early Careers Specialist on delivery of early-talent strategy.
• Drive continuous improvement by standardising processes and using technology.
• Act as delegate for the Talent Acquisition Manager when needed.
