Role Overview

On behalf of my client based in Waterford, I am seeking a proactive and skilled Systems Support Manager to maintain, optimize, and advance their IT infrastructure, business software, and hardware systems. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will play a key role in ensuring robust daily operations, safeguarding IT security, and driving digital improvements across our retail and operational platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• IT Systems Support: Provide comprehensive hardware and software support to internal teams across all daily IT operations.
• Vendor & Systems Management: Troubleshoot issues and liaise with third-party software/hardware providers to manage operating platforms, including EPOS, inventory and stock management processes, website, and digital channels.
• Data & Process Optimization: Analyze system data to evaluate current workflows, build improvement scenarios, and document standardized operating procedures.
• Cybersecurity & Data Protection: Ensure rigorous data backup protocols, system security practices, and continuous alignment with evolving cybersecurity standards.
• Technology Innovation: Act as the internal champion for IT, ensuring our business stays at the forefront of modern technology solutions.

Key Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 4 years' hands-on IT support and systems management experience. Retail environment experience is desirable but not essential.
• Education: Relevant degree or professional qualification in IT, Computer Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Technical Skills: Strong background in supporting computer software, hardware, EPOS, and network operations.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical skills with a proven track record in process mapping, documentation, and data-driven troubleshooting.
