Job summary

Matrix Recruitment Group is recruiting for an IT Systems Manager to lead technology strategy at our client site in Co. Roscommon. This hybrid-permanent role requires owning the technology roadmap, delivering digital transformations and managing core business applications including CRM and ERP systems.

The successful candidate will oversee IT infrastructure, security and data governance, while managing MSPs and technology partners. Must have own transport and a full Irish driving license.

Qualifications

• At least 8+ years' experience in a senior IT, digital operations or systems management role.
• Proficient with MS Excel and ERP systems.
• Strong track record delivering complex business systems implementations & integrations.
• Broad technical knowledge across IT infrastructure, networking, cloud technologies, cybersecurity and disaster recovery.
• Knowledge of SQL databases and data management.
• Experience managing MSPs, software providers and other third-party tech partners.
• Strong project and programme management and ability to handle multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own the organisation's technology roadmap aligned with business strategy and growth.
• Lead digital transformation initiatives and cross-functional technology programmes.
• Provide technology leadership and act as key decision-maker on major systems initiatives.
• Establish governance, risk management, and project oversight frameworks.
• Lead implementation, optimisation and support of core business applications (CRM, scheduling, production, financial systems).
• Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve workflows.
• Drive systems integration and data migration.
• Establish data governance policies and standards.
• Oversee IT infrastructure (networks, servers, cloud services, backup, DR).
• Lead cybersecurity initiatives, security reviews and risk mitigation programmes.
• Manage technology vendors and MSPs.
• Develop training, documentation and knowledge-sharing processes.

• Lead the implementation, optimisation and ongoing support of core business applications, including CRM, scheduling, production and financial systems.

• Establish and maintain data governance frameworks, policies and standards.

• Manage service providers, software vendors, implementation partners and other strategic technology suppliers.
• Develop effective training, documentation and knowledge-sharing processes to support users and business teams.
• MUST HAVE OWN TRANSPORT & FULL IRISH DRIVING LICENSE

What are we looking for?

• At least 8+ years' experience in a senior IT, digital operations or systems management position.
• Proficient with MS Excel & ERP systems.
• A strong track record of delivering complex business systems implementations & integrations.
• Broad technical knowledge across IT infrastructure, networking, cloud technologies, cybersecurity and disaster recovery.
• Knowledge of SQL databases and data management
• Proven experience managing MSPs, software providers and other third-party technology partners.
• Strong project and programme management and ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver against deadlines.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to evaluate technology investment.
• Ability to operate strategically while remaining sufficiently hands-on to understand and resolve operational technology challenges.
