Job summary

ESB Networks in Ireland seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead the refurbishment and compliance programme across its property portfolio. You will manage multi-disciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budgets, embedding fire safety and sustainability into capital works.

The role offers hybrid working within the Republic of Ireland, with travel to ESB Networks locations as required and collaboration with local managers to optimise building performance and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Construction Management, Building Surveying, Civil Engineering, Energy Management or related discipline.
• Experience leading delivery of construction, refurbishment or capital projects in a complex operational environment.
• Strong technical understanding of sustainability in the built environment and carbon reduction.
• Knowledge of building services, statutory compliance and fire safety systems with risk-based decision making.
• Ability to challenge designs and collaborate with contractors and advisers for best outcomes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across levels of the organisation.
• Experience overseeing project budgets and directing multidisciplinary teams across project phases.
• Familiarity with health, safety and energy management standards (ISO 45001/ISO 50001 advantageous).
• Full clean driving licence required; travel to ESB Networks locations will be necessary.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a rolling multi-year refurbishment and new build works programme.
• Act as the client’s representative leading projects from concept design to completion with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Support delivery of property projects in line with building regulations and sustainability standards.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve building efficiency and performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver capital projects within budgets and timelines.
• Input to scope development, review drawings and challenge specifications.
• Lead fire safety improvement programmes and embed fire safety requirements.
• Attend meetings to agree site setup, phasing, access and safety plans.
