Job summary

Electricity Supply Board seeks a Capital Projects Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary teams in delivering building-related capital works across ESB offices and depots. The role covers concept through handover, ensuring compliance with planning and safety requirements.

The successful candidate will work from ESB Head Office in Dublin 2 with hybrid working and occasional travel, driving projects that support the Net Zero strategy and operational reliability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years' relevant experience delivering building, construction or capital works projects.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary design teams including architectural, structural, mechanical & electrical disciplines.
• Proven ability to independently deliver projects up to €2 million from concept and design through procurement, construction and handover.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a series of projects of varying complexity annually as part of the Capital Works program in FM for ESB customers.
• Assemble and manage design teams from professional and construction panels and oversee consultants.
• Act as Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP) on relevant projects and advise on optimum design solutions.
• Manage stakeholders and report progress and issues to Senior Capital PM Management.
• Ensure compliance with planning, building regulations, ESB policies and permit-to-work systems.
• Contribute to policies and procedures to ensure safe, cost-effective project delivery.
• Coordinate with Facility Management to ensure smooth handover to maintenance teams.
• Produce sketch schemes, tender information, construction information, and as-built documentation.
