Job summary

Praxis Care is seeking Support Workers to join our team in Ireland. You will empower individuals to develop independent living skills and support them in personal care, domestic and social tasks. Collaboration with Team Leaders ensures individual and group programmes are implemented effectively.

Role emphasizes safety, adherence to policies, and participation in training to maintain high standards of care. A flexible schedule including full-time, part-time, and relief shifts is available.

Responsibilities

• Support and empower individuals to develop or improve independent living skills as identified in person-centred plans, including assistance with managing domestic or social skills and personal care.
• Work closely with Team Leaders and managers to prepare and implement individual and group support programmes.
• Collaborate with other Support Workers and Team Leaders to promote a safe working and living environment, effectively resolving situations that may arise from conflict or challenging behaviours using appropriate techniques and language.
• Ensure that medication is stored and administered in accordance with Praxis Care’s Medication Policy where necessary.
• Familiarize yourself with all administrative requirements of the service, ensuring relevant and important information is recorded and logged according to the service's reporting guidelines.
• Be fully aware of all policies and procedures in place within the service (including Health & Safety), ensuring attendance and participation in all related training.
