Job description

Supply Chain Planner - Lighthouse Drinks

Location: Cork Bonded Warehouses, Little Island, Cork Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Reports to: Operations Director Work Location: In person

About Us

Lighthouse Drinks is an award-winning support business to the Irish Whiskey industry. We operate wholesale, retail, production/bottling, and fulfilment departments under one roof, offering Ireland's greatest range of services to aspiring whiskey businesses.

We're an ambitious Cork-based SME with a detailed short-term growth plan, offering real opportunity for someone looking to take ownership and grow with us.

The Role

We're looking for a Supply Chain Planner to own dry goods ordering and supply planning across our full SKU range, and to turn that supply picture into the production schedule itself.

This is a hands-on role with a lot of day-to-day ordering and data upkeep in it, but it carries real decision-making authority. You'll be the person suppliers and internal teams go to for ordering calls, lead times, and stock cover, and the person who builds and owns the production schedule based on what's actually available to run. You'll work inside our operations platform (Pulse) to keep ordering, ETA, and schedule data accurate and reliable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the ordering cycle for dry goods across our full SKU range, from raising orders through to setting and maintaining ETA dates in Pulse
  • Monitor stock cover and lead times, flagging shortfalls before they become production risks
  • Build and maintain supplier relationships, negotiating on price, lead time, and reliability
  • Translate supply availability into the production schedule, planning and sequencing runs based on what dry goods and liquid are actually ready
  • Update ETA fields promptly when deliveries slip, and adjust the schedule accordingly
  • Work closely with the Warehouse team, who confirm physical arrival of goods, and the Liquid team, to keep the schedule aligned with real readiness
  • Identify and act on opportunities to improve ordering and scheduling processes, reduce waste, and cut lead-time risk
  • Provide accurate forecasting input to support production planning and cash flow visibility
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in supply chain, purchasing, or production planning in a manufacturing, production, or multi-channel commercial environment
  • Comfortable owning purchasing decisions independently, not just executing instructions
  • Experience managing supplier relationships and negotiating terms
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, particularly across a high SKU count
  • Confident using ERP, MRP, or similar operational software (training on Pulse provided)
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Excel
  • Clear communicator, comfortable coordinating across production, warehouse, and commercial teams
  • Experience in drinks, FMCG, or manufacturing production planning is a strong advantage
