Job summary

Chemist Warehouse Ireland is growing and seeks a Category Supply & Demand Planner to keep the right products on our shelves at the right time — and at the right cost.

You will sense and shape demand, build 24-month forecasts, support S&OP/IBP, manage the D365 forward plan and ensure inventory levels balance service with cost. A degree in a related field and 3+ years in planning are expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in demand or supply planning.
• Healthcare industry experience.
• Degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

• Own forward supply plan in D365 and manage POs by exception.

• Challenge supplier MOQs, EOQs, MOVs and lead times.
• Maintain master data and product statuses with the PIMS team.
• Champion continuous improvement across planning tools and processes.

Responsibilities

• Sense and shape demand using historical sales trends, market inputs and root-cause analysis of forecast variances
• Build and maintain 24-month rolling demand forecasts, hitting forecast-accuracy KPIs
• Play an active role in our S&OP / IBP process — demand reviews, supplier collaboration forums, and weekly and monthly reporting with clear business recommendations
• Own the forward supply plan in D365: maintain planning inputs, generate purchase orders by exception, and follow them through to delivery
• Manage inventory to balance service levels, working capital and write-down risk — identifying and escalating 'at-risk' stock early
• Support new product launches, phase-ins/outs, promotions and regulatory transitions
• Challenge supplier MOQs, EOQs, MOVs and lead times in line with our inventory policy
• Maintain master data and product statuses, working closely with the PIMS team
• Champion continuous improvement across planning tools, systems and processes

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Business or related field
• 3+ years in demand or supply planning
• Experience in the healthcare industry
• Highly developed organisational, planning and time-management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Confident across the Microsoft Office suite
