This is an excellent opportunity for a production or supply chain professional to join a high-performing manufacturing environment, playing a key role in balancing customer demand, manufacturing capacity and operational requirements.
The Role
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Production Planner will manage the end-to-end production planning and scheduling process, ensuring schedules are achievable, efficient and aligned with customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing daily, weekly and monthly production schedules.
- Balancing customer demand with capacity, materials and resources.
- Monitoring production performance, schedule adherence and production losses.
- Supporting DIFOT (Delivery in Full, On Time) performance.
- Proactively managing material shortages, labour constraints, downtime and operational disruptions.
- Coordinating raw material and shipment requirements to optimise inventory and Just-In-Time material flow.
- Working cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Procurement, Warehousing, Logistics, Engineering and Customer Service.
- Supporting new product integration and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintaining accurate planning records, reports and documentation.
- Acting as a key contact for production planning and scheduling across the site.
The Ideal Candidate:
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years' experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of production planning and scheduling.
- Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Technical Skills
Ideally, you will have experience with:
- ERP/SAP systems
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft Project
- Power BI
- Production planning and scheduling systems
