National Vehicle Distribution is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead the finance function with responsibility for strategy, governance and growth across sites in Ireland, the UK and Europe. The role includes shaping commercial decisions, managing cashflow and implementing scalable financial systems.

The ideal candidate combines strong accounting qualifications with leadership experience in a high‑growth environment, multi‑currency operations, and exposure to logistics.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant with strong experience leading all aspects of the finance function in a high growth operating business.
• Experience as a key leadership team member shaping day-to-day operating and commercial decisions.
• Experience introducing new systems/technologies to enable effective and efficient scaling of the finance function.
• Strong financial planning and performance management expertise with KPI delivery in partnership with operations.
• Experience working in an operations focused business with multiple sites and multiple currencies.
• Some exposure to logistics sector beneficial but not essential.
• Acquisition experience beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership of finance to shape business growth and strategy.
• Lead financial operations, cashflow and fiscal management across multiple sites.
• Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts and risk assessments for the Board.
• Coordinate development of management information and KPI reporting.
• Lead debt management and assess future financing needs for growth.
• Support CEO on acquisition strategies, due diligence and post‑deal integrations.
• Develop resourcing plan for finance with internal and outsourced partners.
