Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment seeks a Staff Network Systems Engineer to lead the automation-driven modernization of its global network. You will establish Infrastructure as Code practices, reusable automation and safe delivery pipelines, working across network engineering, security and architecture teams.

The role requires hands-on delivery, technical leadership, and the ability to influence governance forums while expanding automation across the enterprise network stack.

Qualifications

• Modernise network infrastructure through automation or Infrastructure as Code in a large, complex production environment.
• Strong software-engineering skills in Python and Go (Golang), with maintainable code, API integration and testing.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or comparable tooling for reusable, idempotent automation.
• Strong knowledge of Git, PR workflows, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, release controls and secrets management.

Responsibilities

• Assess the network estate, toolchain and workflows; define a phased modernisation roadmap.
• Establish the Infrastructure as Code operating model, source of truth, and secure credential handling.
• Build automation using Python/Go, Terraform, Ansible, APIs and configuration-management tooling.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines with linting, testing, drift detection, policy checks and controlled rollout.
• Translate network intent into version-controlled implementations and influence reference architectures.
• Lead safe migration of services into the automated model while remaining hands-on during complex delivery.
• Mentor engineers and promote automation as a team capability.
