Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment in Dublin is building a new engineering team focused on client-side SDKs, middleware, and platform technologies powering PlayStation experiences.

As an early team member, you will design, develop, test, and maintain C/C++ software, contribute to APIs, and collaborate with product managers and global teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of professional experience developing production software using C/C++.
• Experience developing SDKs, frameworks, middleware, client applications, or other complex software systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain client-side SDKs, middleware, and system software primarily using C/C++.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of SDK and platform capabilities.
• Develop clean, maintainable, and well-documented APIs that improve developer experience and simplify integration.
• Analyze product requirements and translate them into technical designs and implementation tasks.
• Own features and components from implementation through delivery, ensuring quality, reliability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Technical Program Managers, Quality Engineering, and global engineering teams.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues related to functionality, performance, and reliability.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.
• Contribute to SDK documentation, sample applications, developer tooling, and integration guidance.
