Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment in Dublin is building a new engineering team to deliver client-side SDKs, middleware, and platform technologies powering PlayStation experiences for millions of players worldwide. As an early team member, you will shape the technologies we build, the engineering practices we follow, and collaborate closely with teams in Tokyo and across the globe.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or a related field and practical software development experience.
• 7+ years of professional C/C++ production software experience.
• Experience designing and developing SDKs, frameworks, or client-side software.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, API design, and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain client-side SDKs, middleware, and system software using C/C++.
• Lead architectural discussions and drive SDK/platform capability decisions.
• Create clean, scalable APIs to simplify integration and improve developer experience.
• Translate product requirements into robust technical designs and plans.
• Own features from design through delivery with focus on quality, reliability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, TPMs, QA, and global engineering teams.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across teams.
• Improve development processes, branching, release quality, and operations.
