Job summary

Cpl Healthcare are recruiting a Social Care Worker for a Children's Residential Service in Dublin. The role is full-time, based in a community residential setting, with day and overnight shifts to cover 24-hour care.

The successful candidate will work with children up to 18 years, develop and implement care plans, and promote welfare across physical, emotional and educational aspects, while adhering to policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people or in residential care is preferred.
• Ability to work as part of a team and adhere to policies and procedures.
• Strong communication and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Participating in the development and implementation of Care and Placement Plans
• Promoting the rights and welfare of each child within the centre
• Promoting overall welfare (physical, emotional, social, educational, religious) of each young person
• Liaising with families and other services
• Attending regular supervision with the Social Care Leader/Manager
• Adhering to policies and procedures and completing reports/documentation

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Participating in the development and implementation of Care and Placement Plans
• Promoting the rights and responsibilities of each child/young person within the centre
• Promoting physical, emotional, social, educational, and religious welfare of each young person
• Family and other service liaison
• Adhering to policies and procedures
• Report Writing and documentation
• To attend regular supervision with the Social Care Leader / Manager

Successful candidates will have:

• A CORU recognized Social Care qualification or full Coru registration
• Ideally some experience working with young people or residential experience
• Full clean manual driving licence and access to a car
• Experience working with challenging behaviors and an understanding of therapeutic interventions
