Job summary

Cpl Group in Donegal is seeking Social Care Workers for a Children's Residential Service. The role is full-time with day and overnight shifts, based in a community residential setting for children up to 18 years old.

The successful candidate will work within Care and Placement Plans, promoting child welfare and liaising with families and services, while adhering to policies and providing documentation. CORU qualification is required.

Qualifications

• CORU qualification or full CORU registration is required.
• Experience working with young people or in residential settings is preferred.
• A full clean manual driving licence and access to a car are required.
• Experience with challenging behaviours and understanding of therapeutic interventions is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Participate in developing and implementing Care and Placement Plans.
• Promote rights and welfare of each child/young person in the centre.
• Promote physical, emotional, social, educational, and religious welfare of each young person.
• Liaise with family and other services.
• Adhere to policies and procedures; report writing and documentation.
• Attend regular supervision with Social Care Leader/Manager.

The successful candidate will be based in a community residential setting, caring for children aged up to 18 years. This is a full time position, working both day and overnight shifts

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Participating in the development and implementation of Care and Placement Plans
• Promoting the rights and responsibilities of each child/young person within the centre
• Promoting physical, emotional, social, educational, and religious welfare of each young person
• Family and other service liaison
• Adhering to policies and procedures
• Report Writing and documentation
• To attend regular supervision with the Social Care Leader / Manager

Successful candidates will have:

• A CORU recognized Social Care qualification or full Coru registration
• Ideally some experience working with young people or residential experience
• Full clean manual driving licence and access to a car
• Experience working with challenging behaviors and an understanding of therapeutic interventions

Salary:

€41,260 - €57,789
