Job summary

Cpl Healthcare are currently recruiting Social care Workers for a Tusla Children's Residential Service in Limerick. The successful candidate will be based in a community residential setting, caring for children aged up to 18 years and will work full time, including day and overnight shifts.

Applicants should hold a CORU recognized Social Care qualification or full CORU registration, have experience with young people or residential care, a full clean driving licence with access to a car, and the

Qualifications

• A CORU recognized Social Care qualification or full CORU registration.
• Experience working with young people or in residential care is advantageous.
• A full, clean manual driving licence and access to a car.
• Experience with challenging behaviours and an understanding of therapeutic interventions.

Responsibilities

• Participate in development and implementation of Care and Placement Plans.
• Promote the rights and welfare of each child/young person in the centre.
• Support physical, emotional, social, educational and spiritual well-being.
• Facilitate family and service liaison as required.
• Adhere to policies and procedures and maintain accurate documentation.
• Attend regular supervision with Social Care Leader/Manager.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Participating in the development and implementation of Care and Placement Plans

• Promoting physical, emotional, social, educational, and religious welfare of each young person


• Family and other service liaison


• Adhering to policies and procedures


• Report Writing and documentation


• To attend regular supervision with the Social Care Leader / Manager

Successful candidates will have:

• A CORU recognized Social Care qualification or full Coru registration


• Ideally some experience working with young people or residential experience


• Full clean manual driving licence and access to a car


• Experience working with challenging behaviors and an understanding of therapeutic interventions
