Job summary

Cpl Healthcare is recruiting Social Care Workers for a Children’s Residential Service in Donegal. Based in a community residential setting, you will care for children aged up to 18 years, with day and overnight shifts.

The role involves care planning, safeguarding, and liaising with families, with a CORU qualification/registration required. A driving licence and experience with challenging behaviours are also needed.

Qualifications

• CORU qualification or full Coru registration required.
• Experience with young people or residential care preferred.
• Full clean manual driving licence and access to a car.
• Experience with challenging behaviours and therapeutic interventions understanding.

Responsibilities

• Participating in the development and implementation of Care and Placement Plans
• Promoting the rights and responsibilities of each child/young person within the centre
• Promoting welfare across physical, emotional, social, educational, and religious aspects
• Family and other service liaison
• Adhering to policies and procedures
• Report writing and documentation
• Attend regular supervision with the Social Care Leader / Manager

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Participating in the development and implementation of Care and Placement Plans
• Promoting the rights and responsibilities of each child/young person within the centre
• Promoting physical, emotional, social, educational, and religious welfare of each young person
• Family and other service liaison
• Adhering to policies and procedures
• Report Writing and documentation
• To attend regular supervision with the Social Care Leader / Manager

Successful candidates will have:

• A CORU recognized Social Care qualification or full Coru registration
• Ideally some experience working with young people or residential experience
• Full clean manual driving licence and access to a car
• Experience working with challenging behaviors and an understanding of therapeutic interventions

Salary: €41,260 – €57,789
