Job summary

Townmore in Midleton, Co. Cork is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join our busy project on site. You will work as part of an established team of Engineers on site to deliver works on site.

The role requires setting out with Leica Robotic Total Stations and GPS, reading and interpreting drawings, coordinating with subcontractors, and maintaining quality documentation to meet programme and safety targets.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a Site Engineer/Setting Out Engineer role.
• Strong setting-out and technical skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the engineering team to deliver works on site.
• Carry out accurate setting out using Leica Robotic Total Stations & GPS.
• Review technical drawings and manage RFIs using AutoCAD.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure works are delivered accurately and to specification.
• Supervise concrete works and other construction activities as required.
• Maintain quality documentation, site records and as-built surveys.
• Contribute to achieving key programme, quality and safety targets.

The successful candidate will work as part of an established team of Engineers on site, providing a great opportunity to collaborate with experienced colleagues while playing an important role in the day-to-day delivery of the project.

What We’re Looking For

• 1+ years’ experience in a Site Engineer/Setting Out Engineer role
• Proven experience using Total Station and GPS equipment
• Strong setting-out and technical skills
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Experience with a main contractor, developer or specialist subcontractor
• A proactive, collaborative approach to quality, safety and problem-solving
