Job summary

Irish Main Contractor in Dublin is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to support ongoing and upcoming live projects. This hands-on role involves setting out, surveying, and providing daily engineering support across all construction stages.

You will work directly on busy sites, ensuring compliance with drawings and programmes, while coordinating with Site Managers and subcontractors to deliver quality outcomes. Ireland-based applicant with 1–5+ years' experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Construction Engineering or similar required.
• 1–5+ years’ experience as a Site Engineer with a main contractor in Ireland.
• Strong setting out experience with GPS/Total Station.

Responsibilities

• Set out and survey on-site using GPS/Total Station equipment.
• Ensure works align with drawings, specs and programme.
• Support Site/Project Managers with daily site coordination.
• Manage subcontractor layout and ensure accurate execution of works.
• Carry out quality checks, as-built records and site documentation.
• Assist with site safety compliance and reporting.
• Liaise with design teams, consultants, and other engineering staff.

We're working with a well-established Irish main contractor delivering a strong pipeline of residential and commercial projects across Dublin and the surrounding counties.

They are now seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join their team and support the delivery of ongoing and upcoming live projects.

This is a hands-on role on busy sites where you'll be directly involved in setting out, coordination, and day-to-day engineering support across all stages of construction.

The role:

• Setting out and surveying on-site using GPS / total station equipment
• Ensuring works are carried out in line with drawings, specifications, and programme
• Supporting Site Managers and Project Managers with daily site coordination
• Managing subcontractor layout and ensuring accurate execution of works
• Carrying out quality checks, as-built records, and site documentation
• Assisting with site safety compliance and reporting where required
• Liaising with design teams, consultants, and other engineering staff

What we're looking for:

• Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or similar
• 1-5+ years' experience as a Site Engineer with a main contractor in Ireland
• Strong setting out experience (GPS / Total Station)
• Good understanding of Irish construction standards and site processes
• Confident working in a fast-paced site environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently when required
