Job summary

Global Professional Consultants Ireland is seeking a Site Engineer to manage projects based in Cork. The candidate will support the project in Middleton and must be comfortable with setting out equipment and monitoring work according to specifications.

The ideal applicant will have an engineering degree, at least 2 years of experience on construction projects, and proficiency in using Total Station. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for teamwork and project delivery.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience with a main contractor/sub-contractor in a suitable role in Ireland or UK.
• Experience on construction projects.
• Self-motivating to deliver on safety, quality & programme.

Responsibilities

• Monitor work in accordance with specification & regulations.
• Setting out, levelling and surveying onsite using GPS total station and auto level.
• Supervision of site works in line with health & safety policy.

Due to continued growth, new contracts and an extensive pipeline of work, one of Ireland’s top Developer/Builders are hiring a Site Engineer to be based on projects in Cork. The successful Engineer will start on a project in Middleton. This role will suit an Engineer looking to progress to Site/Project Management level.

Duties

• The candidate must be comfortable using setting out equipment
• Monitor work in accordance with specification & regulations.
• Setting out, levelling and surveying onsite using GPS total station and auto level.
• Topographic surveys using GPS & robotic total station.
• Supervision of site works in line with health & safety policy.
• Maintain records of labour, plant, and site activities.
• Checking works as required
• Any other ad hoc duties

Requirements
