Job summary

Global Professional Consultants seeks an experienced Site Engineer to join a Main Building Contractor on a 500+ unit residential project in Douglas, Cork. Immediate start with a strong focus on precise surveying, setting-out, and on-site coordination.

You will manage technical elements on site, ensuring quality, safety, and regulatory compliance, while liaising with clients, design teams and subcontractors to maintain schedule.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as a Site Engineer on residential or building projects in Ireland or the UK.
• Strong setting-out and surveying skills, ideally with experience on housing developments.
• Excellent understanding of health & safety regulations.
• Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Set out the site and carry out precise surveying work on residential units and associated infrastructure.
• Monitor quality control and ensure all works comply with project specifications and building regulations.
• Coordinate daily with subcontractors and the Site Manager to ensure efficient progress on site.
• Assist with planning and scheduling construction activities to meet project deadlines.
• Maintain detailed site records and produce progress reports as required.
• Ensure health & safety standards are implemented and adhered to at all times.
• Attend site meetings and liaise with clients, design teams, and project stakeholders.

Immediate Position | €60,000–€70,000 Salary | Company Vehicle

A Site Engineer is required for a well-established Main Building Contractor to work on a 500+ unit residential project in Douglas, Cork. This is an immediate position and an excellent opportunity for an experienced Engineer to join a reputable company and take a key role in delivering a large-scale housing development.

The successful candidate will have strong experience working with main contractors in Ireland or the UK and will be confident in managing all technical elements on site.

• Set out the site and carry out precise surveying work on residential units and associated infrastructure.
