Job summary

Global Professional Consultants is sourcing a Site Engineer for a Main Building Contractor on a housing project based in Arklow, Co. Wicklow, with work starting soon.

You will perform precise setting out from drawings and specifications, establish reference points and benchmarks, and collaborate with stakeholders to implement setting out requirements. You will use Total Station, GPS, and laser levels to ensure accurate layouts and uphold health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of setting-out on building projects in Ireland or UK.
• 3rd level degree in Construction/Civil Engineering.
• Proficiency with Total Station, EDM, and GPS for set-out.

Responsibilities

Site Engineer

A Site Engineer required for a Main Building Contractor to work on our clients project based in Arklow, Co. Wicklow to work on a housing project which is starting in a couple of weeks.

Duties:

• Perform precise setting out of construction works based on drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Establish reference points, grades, and benchmarks to ensure accurate measurement and alignment.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to clarify and implement setting out requirements.
• Utilize surveying instruments like total stations, GPS, and laser levels for accurate measurements and layouts, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain strong health and safety standards.

Requirements:

• 2 years + experience of setting-out on building projects in Ireland or UK.
• 3rd level degree in Construction/Civil Engineering.
• Proficiency with the use of Total Station, EDM instruments & GPS to complete accurate set out.
