Job summary

Global Professional Consultants Ireland is looking for a Setting-Out Engineer to join a Main Building Contractor for a residential project in Sligo. Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in setting-out on building projects in Ireland or the UK.

The ideal candidate will need a 3rd level degree in Construction or Civil Engineering and proficiency with surveying tools like Total Stations and GPS. Competitive salary of €55k – €65k and benefits including a company car are provided.

Setting-Out Engineer

A Setting-out Engineer required for a Main Building Contractor to work on our Clients project based in Sligo to work on a Residential Project.

Duties

• Perform precise setting out of construction works based on drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Establish reference points, grades, and benchmarks to ensure accurate measurement and alignment.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to clarify and implement setting out requirements.
• Utilize surveying instruments like total stations, GPS, and laser levels for accurate measurements and layouts, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain strong health and safety standards.

Requirements

• 2 years + experience of setting-out on building projects in Ireland or UK.
• 3rd level degree in Construction/Civil Engineering.
• Proficiency with the use of Total Station, EDM instruments & GPS to complete accurate set out.
