Job summary

Global Professional Consultants Ireland is seeking Senior Site Engineers for large civil and marine engineering projects in Limerick and Cork. Candidates should have a degree in Civil Engineering and a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.

The role includes setting out roads, overseeing construction, and verifying technical designs. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD is a must, along with knowledge of setting out equipment.

Salary is circa €70k–€75k DOE plus excellent benefits.

Job description

Senior Site Engineers required to join one of Ireland’s leading Civil & Marine Engineering Contractors for large projects in Limerick and Cork. The positions are site based and vary depending on the project. This role would suit an Engineer that can competently set out roads or someone who can manage a team of setting out engineers on roads.

Role

• Setting out
• Overseeing building work
• Site surveying
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
• Checking technical designs and drawings to ensure that they are followed correctly
• Assisting the procurement department
• Assisting the commercial department.
• Completing SHEQ forms
• Tracking site records
• Completing labour and plant returns
• General site civil engineering daily tasks

Requirements

• Must hold a degree in Civil Engineering or similar
• Must have a minimum 3-5 years’ recent experience on Civil Engineering projects in Ireland or the UK (mandatory)
• Must have knowledge setting out equipment including GPS, site engineer level, total station
• Experience in roads or utilities industry (preferred)
• Excellent MS Office skills
