Job summary

Global Professional Consultants requires a Setting-Out Engineer for a West Dublin project with a main contractor. You will carry out setting-out and surveying on site, ensuring accuracy to drawings and specifications, while supporting the site team and liaising with subcontractors and the design team.

CDM and safety input form part of daily activities. To be successful, you should hold a degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline and have proven setting-out/site engineering experience

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Experience in a setting-out/site engineering role with a main contractor.
• Strong surveying and setting-out skills, with proficiency in relevant survey equipment/software.

Responsibilities

• Carry out setting out and surveying across the project with accuracy to drawings.
• Provide day-to-day technical and surveying support to the site team.
• Check works against drawings and specs, flag discrepancies.
• Maintain survey records and setting-out documentation.

Job description

Setting-Out Engineer required for a Main Contractor to work on a project in West Dublin. Our client is specifically looking for a Setting-Out Engineer to provide surveying and setting-out support on site. The successful Setting-Out Engineer will report to the Senior Engineer on site.

Role:

• Carry out setting out and surveying across the project, ensuring accuracy in line with drawings and specifications.
• Provide day-to-day technical and surveying support to the site team.
• Check works against drawings and specification, flagging discrepancies before they impact progress.
• Maintain survey records and setting-out documentation.
• Liaise with subcontractors, the design team and site management on setting-out matters.
• Provide CDM and Health and Safety input on day-to-day site activities.
