Job summary

Global Professional Consultants Ireland is seeking a Setting-out Engineer with 2+ years' experience for a residential building project in Celbridge. The role involves using setting out equipment, supervising site works, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

The ideal candidate holds an Engineering Degree/Diploma and has experience in civils projects. The package includes a salary of €60k-€70k, benefits, and travel allowance or company vehicle.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience with a main contractor/sub-contractor in a suitable role in Ireland or UK.
• Experience on civils projects.
• Ability to work as part of a team.

Setting-out Engineer

Setting-out Engineer with 2+ years’ experience required for a well-established residential building to work on an apartments project in Celbridge. Our client has several years left in this specific project and are looking to build up their team in the region for future projects for repeat work with this developer.

Duties

• The candidate must be comfortable using setting out equipment
• Monitor work in accordance with specification & regulations.
• Setting out, levelling and surveying onsite using GPS total station and auto level.
• Topographic surveys using GPS & robotic total station.
• Supervision of site works in line with health & safety policy.
• Maintain records of labour, plant, and site activities.
• Checking works as required
• Any other ad hoc duties

Requirements

• Engineering Degree/Diploma
• Experience on civils projects
• Proficiency in use of Total Station
• 2+ years’ experience with a main contractor / sub-contractor in a suitable role in Ireland or UK.
• Strong interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills
• Self-motivating to deliver on safety, quality & programme
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Full driving license
