Job summary

Orange Recruitment, on behalf of a well-established dealership group, seeks an experienced Automotive Technician. You will perform diagnostics, servicing, repairs and maintenance using the latest tools and manufacturer training to ensure high standards for every vehicle.

You will work in a supportive workshop, stay updated with evolving vehicle technologies including hybrids and EVs, and benefit from ongoing training, progression opportunities, and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Qualified Motor Technician with recognised automotive certification.
• Experience in servicing, diagnostics and repairs.
• Strong fault-finding abilities and methodical approach.
• Experience with diagnostic equipment and workshop systems.
• HV certification or EV experience is advantageous.
• Full clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Perform servicing, inspections and mechanical repairs on customer vehicles.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical and electronic faults.
• Complete repairs to manufacturer specifications and best practices.
• Record work and maintain workshop documentation.
• Work with service advisors to ensure timely completion of jobs.
• Follow health and safety procedures in the workshop.
• Keep the workshop clean, organised and professional.
• Stay up to date with hybrid and EV technologies.

Orange Recruitment is partnering with a well-established and highly regarded dealership group to recruit an experienced Automotive Technician.

You'll be working with some of the industry's leading vehicle brands, carrying out diagnostics, servicing, repairs, and maintenance while utilising the latest tools, equipment, and manufacturer training. As a key member of the workshop team, you will be responsible for ensuring vehicles are maintained and repaired to the highest standards, helping to deliver a first-class experience for every customer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform scheduled servicing, inspections, and mechanical repairs on customer vehicles.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults efficiently and accurately.
• Complete repairs in line with manufacturer specifications and industry best practices.
• Carry out vehicle assessments and identify any additional maintenance requirements.
• Use diagnostic equipment and technical information to troubleshoot complex faults.
• Accurately record work completed and maintain detailed workshop documentation.
• Work closely with service advisors and colleagues to ensure jobs are completed on time and to a high standard.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and professional workshop environment.
• Keep up to date with evolving vehicle technologies, including hybrid and electric vehicle systems.

What We're Looking For:

• Qualified Motor Technician with recognised automotive certification.
• Previous workshop experience carrying out servicing, diagnostics, and repairs.
• Strong fault-finding abilities and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
• Confidence using modern diagnostic tools and workshop management systems.
• High Voltage (HV) certification or EV experience would be a distinct advantage.
• Full clean driving licence.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality workmanship.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop professionally.
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced workshop environment.
