Job summary

The SpitJack in Dundrum, Ireland seeks an energetic hospitality professional for an operations-focused role. You will deliver warm, friendly service, handle beverages, and support daily restaurant operations to ensure guest satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in a similar establishment, fluent English, and are available to work 40 hours per week. Full EU work authorization is required and opportunities for progression exist within the team.

Responsibilities

• Serve beverages to customers according to the standards set by the Restaurant and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Keep service and customer areas clean and tidy.
• Comply with health, safety, hygiene, fire and security regulations and procedures; ensure others are aware of their responsibilities.
• Requisition stock for each day’s business and set up for service.
• Use the cash register in accordance with company procedures.
• Wash and dry all dirty glasses and maintain hygiene of service articles.
• Know all beverages available and how to serve them.
• Maintain a high level of cooperation with all staff.

Duties:

• To know the licensing laws and Customs & Excise Regulations
• To serve all beverages to customers according to the standards set by the Restaurant, and to the customers satisfaction.
• To keep the service and customer service areas clean and tidy.
• To be fully conversant and comply with the health safety, hygiene, fire and security regulations and procedures of the establishment, and to ensure others are aware of their responsibilities in this regard.
• To requisition for stock necessary for each day’s business, to display it and set it up for service.
• To use the cash register in accordance with Company cash handling procedures.
• To wash and dry all dirty glasses as required, and have all glasses and service articles in a condition suitable for use, with particular regard to Hygiene requirements.
• To have knowledge to serve all beverages available.
• To maintain a high level of co-operation with all other staff in the company.

Person Specification Required:

The Ideal Candidate:

• 2 years experience in a similar establishment
• Fluent in English, second language an advantage.
• Available to work 40 hours per week
• Have full permission or hold a valid visa to work in the EU.
