Job summary

Old Lodge Gastro Pub in Ireland is seeking an energetic, positive and passionate Food & Beverage assistant for either a part-time or full-time role. If hospitality is your passion, join our team and take the next step in your career.

You will deliver customer service to a high standard, prepare the restaurant for service, know the menus and allergens, assist with billing, and uphold food hygiene and safety.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1+ years' experience in a high volume/fast paced Food & Beverage environment is desirable.
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills.
• Be adaptable and willing to work a variety of shifts, including midweek, late evenings & weekends as per operational requirements.
• Have full permission or hold a valid visa to work in the EU.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a consistently high standard of customer service, welcoming guests on arrival and thanking them on departure.
• Prepare the restaurant for service, ensuring all set-up is completed to the required standards.
• Maintain a strong knowledge of food and drink menus, including daily specials, allergens, and wine offerings, with the ability to make recommendations to guests.
• Follow hotel procedures for the service of food and beverages, including accurate billing, receipts, and charge signing where applicable.
• Comply fully with food hygiene, health & safety, and fire safety procedures at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the restaurant during and after service, including resetting for the next service period.
• Participate in training as required and work in line with company standards and policies.

• Team player with the ability to multi task and have excellent presentation skills with a fine eye for detail.
• Excellent personal presentation/grooming to represent our brand professionally at all times.
• A true people person who can deliver exceptional customer service with confidence and professionalism.
• A warm, friendly, positive, and approachable personality when dealing with fellow staff and guests.
