Sigmar Recruitment in Ireland is seeking a Business Development Manager to grow and retain business across Munster, engaging with mechanical contractors, consultant engineers, architects and other stakeholders.

You will manage existing relationships, identify new opportunities via planning activity, and prepare tenders and proposals while collaborating with internal teams. Bus travel across Munster is expected.

Formación

• Experience in business development, sales, account management or a similar commercial role.
• Ideally, experience in HVAC, mechanical, engineering, construction or building services.
• Strong relationship-building, communication and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of contractors, tenders or construction projects is advantageous.
• Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel across Munster.

Our client is a well-established provider of HVAC solutions to the commercial, industrial and residential building services markets.

About Your New Job

As Business Development Manager, you will grow and retain business across Munster, working with mechanical contractors, consultant engineers, architects and other key stakeholders.

You will:

• Manage and develop existing customer relationships, with a focus of approximately 70% account retention and 30% new business.
• Identify new opportunities by monitoring planning activity and upcoming construction projects.
• Develop relationships with mechanical contractors working on hospitals, apartments, offices, housing estates and other major projects.
• Prepare and follow up on tenders, quotations and commercial proposals.
• Work closely with internal sales and technical teams to deliver customer solutions.
• Attend customer meetings and industry events throughout the Munster region.

What Skills You Need

• Experience in business development, sales, account management or a similar commercial role.
• Ideally, experience in HVAC, mechanical, engineering, construction or building services.
• Strong relationship-building, communication and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of contractors, tenders or construction projects is advantageous.
