Job summary

HERO Recruitment Ltd. is seeking an Account Manager for its commercial HVAC business in Ireland. This field-based role covers Cork, Limerick, Waterford and Galway, selling chillers, AHUs and heat pumps to pharma, life sciences and medical tech sectors.

You will provide technical guidance alongside commercial acumen, build strong client relationships and drive proposals from enquiry to order while collaborating with support and service teams to ensure high-quality delivery.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent qualification, ideally HVAC certification.
• Proven experience in HVAC industry, technical sales, account management or applications engineering.
• Strong knowledge of chillers, AHUs and/or heat pumps, able to read design specs.
• Experience supporting pharma, life sciences or critical-environment sites preferred.
• Strong Excel skills; CRM experience advantageous.
• Excellent client-facing skills with ability to meet deadlines.
• Consultative, solution-focused approach and team collaboration.
• Full clean driving licence and ability to travel regionally.

Account Manager - Commercial HVAC Equipment

Cork / Limerick / Galway (Field-Based) | €80,000 - €100,000 + 30% Bonus + Company Car

HERO Recruitment is pleased to partner with a global leader in sustainable climate solutions for buildings, industry and transport in the appointment of an Account Manager for its commercial HVAC business in Ireland. The organisation is committed to reducing energy demand and carbon emissions through innovative, high-performance equipment and services.

This field-based position will be responsible for equipment sales and account development across the South and West of Ireland, supporting customers in the pharmaceutical, life sciences and medical technology sectors. The role is technical and consultative in nature, requiring an individual who can work closely with customers to understand their requirements and provide sound technical guidance alongside commercial expertise.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and develop a portfolio of commercial and industrial accounts across Cork, Limerick, Waterford and Galway.
• Drive equipment sales of chillers, air handling units and heat pumps, contributing to the commercial success of the business.
• Review design specifications and engage with customers, consulting engineers and contractors at design stage to ensure the appropriate equipment is specified.
• Provide technical advice on system design, application and integration.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals, and manage opportunities from initial enquiry through to order.
• Work in close collaboration with the internal equipment support team and the service department to ensure a high standard of customer delivery.
• Maintain accurate customer and opportunity records within the CRM system and meet internal and external sales deadlines.
• Build and sustain long-term relationships with key customers across the region.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Technical degree or equivalent qualification, ideally with certification in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC).
• Proven experience within the HVAC industry, in technical sales, account management, applications engineering or a related technical role.
• Strong technical knowledge of chillers, air handling units and/or heat pumps, with the ability to read and review design specifications.
• Experience supporting pharmaceutical, life sciences or other critical-environment sites is highly desirable.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel; experience with CRM systems is an advantage.
• Excellent client-facing skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively and work to deadlines.
• A consultative, solutions-focused approach and a collaborative team ethos.
• Full clean driving licence and the ability to travel throughout the region.
