Job summary

Klaviyo seeks a Senior Software Engineer, Reliability, to build and operate platforms underpinning reliability and global scale. You will design secure, observable systems and drive incident response improvements across production services.

You will collaborate with product, platform, and security engineers, mentor others, and apply SRE best practices, SLIs/SLOs, and automation across AWS, Kubernetes, and distributed services. Travel up to 10% may apply.

Qualifications

• Must write production-quality Python/Go code and automate operations.
• Experience with cloud-native, distributed systems and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with observability, SLIs/SLOs, and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate secure, scalable services with high availability.
• Automate infrastructure and improve system reliability at scale.
• Define SLI/SLOs and burn-rate alerts to guide decisions.
• Improve observability and incident response; participate in on-call rotations.
• Collaborate with product/platform/security engineers to ship reliable systems.
• Mentor peers and contribute to runbooks and system documentation.
