Job summary

Acuity Inc. is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to help raise the reliability bar for our Commerce Platform.

You will own availability, reliability, and performance of critical production environments, and partner with software engineers, DevOps and product teams to deliver scalable, secure, and efficient services. You will design observability standards, runbooks, and SLOs while automating workflows and improving deployment processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering, SRE, or a related role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including services such as AKS, Azure Monitor / Log Analytics, Key Vault, ACR, VNets, Managed Identity.
• Deep experience with containerized and orchestrated environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability tools.
• Proven experience operating and supporting production SaaS systems at scale.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
• A keen eye for detail and a knack for troubleshooting complex issues.

Responsibilities

• Own the availability, reliability, and performance of critical production environments.
• Define, track, and report on service health metrics including uptime and reliability indicators.
• Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-geo teams for incident response and recovery for critical services.
• Automate operational workflows to reduce toil and improve consistency.
• Support and improve deployment processes while maintaining security.
• Create and maintain runbooks and SOPs.
• Design and evolve monitoring, alerting, and observability standards across the platform.
• Build dashboards and alerts to provide actionable insight into system health.
• Ensure monitoring supports SLOs and operational decision-making.
• Work with engineers to embed reliability best practices into system design.
• Partner with product and platform teams to translate requirements into reliable solutions.
• Contribute to a culture of shared production ownership.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies.
