Job summary

Klaviyo is building a foundational Site Reliability Engineering function from our Dublin hub. You will define the vision and roadmap, recruit and mentor a world‑class team, and own reliability for our growing SaaS platform.

You’ll champion a reliability‑first culture, partner with product and platform teams, and establish observability, scalability, and incident‑response best practices for a distributed global operation.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience.
• 5+ years in a leadership role managing SRE teams.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native production systems at scale (AWS preferred).
• Strong background in distributed systems, observability, container orchestration, IaC, and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Architect and Lead: define vision, strategy, and roadmap for a unified SRE organization and build a multi-disciplinary team in Dublin.
• Champion Reliability: embed reliability principles across the software lifecycle and drive blameless post‑mortems.
• Own Platform Integrity: oversee availability, latency, performance, change management, monitoring, and capacity planning for Klaviyo’s platform.
• Drive Automation: develop automated tooling and self-service infrastructure to move teams fast with guardrails.
• Lead Through Incidents: manage reliability incidents and guide teams to rapid, systemic improvements.
