Job summary

Suir Engineering is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for a major Energy Power and Renewables project based in Offaly, Ireland. You will own commercial and contractual requirements across the project lifecycle, interface with the Client Commercial Team, and oversee procurement of subcontractors and materials.

The role requires a 3rd level qualification in Construction Economics or Quantity Surveying with 5+ years’ experience, preferably in electrical/mechanical sectors.

Qualifications

• 3rd level qualification in Construction Economics / Quantity Surveying.
• Experience of 5+ years as a Project QS is required.
• Experience in electrical/mechanical field is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial and contractual requirements through project life cycle.
• Interface with Client Commercial/Contract Team.
• Procurement of Sub-contractors and materials.
• Conduct cost and risk analysis.
• Review correspondence to identify contractually critical items.
• Manage commercial aspects of subcontractors and provide project costing, margins and cashflow reports.
• Manage change order procedures and agree costs with client.
