Job summary

Suir Engineering are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Ireland, supporting EP&R projects across energy, pharma, data centres and more. You will lead commercial activities across project lifecycles, manage subcontractor interfaces and provide cost control and reporting.

The ideal candidate has a 3rd level qualification in Construction Economics or Quantity Surveying, 5+ years of experience in civil or electrical/mechanical markets, and strong communication and teamwork

Qualifications

• 3rd level qualification in Construction Economics or Quantity Surveying.
• 5+ years of experience as a Project QS.
• Civil engineering experience.
• Experience in electrical/mechanical field is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Management and ownership of the commercial and contractual requirements through the life cycle of the project.
• Interface with Client Commercial/Contract Team.
• Project procurement including Sub-contractors.
• Conduct cost and risk analysis.
• Review incoming correspondence to identify contractually critical items and initiate replies.
• Manage commercial aspects of subcontractors.
• Provide project costing, margin & cashflow reports.
• Manage project change order procedures and agree costs with client.

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join Suir Engineering Ltd. This position will be supporting our EP&R projects.

What you will be doing

• Management and ownership of the commercial and contractual requirements through the life cycle of the project.

• Suitable Candidates must have a 3rd level qualification in Construction Economics / Quantity Surveying and 5+ years’ experience working as a Project QS.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Civils experience.
• Previous experience working in the electrical/mechanical field.
• Ability to prioritize workload according to deadlines together with a high attention to detail.
