Job summary

John Sisk & Son is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial delivery of a major energy infrastructure project in Ireland, covering the Dunstown–Woodland connection. You will work with the Commercial Manager and project team to maximise value, manage risk and secure favorable outcomes.

The role requires proven quantity surveying experience on infrastructure and multi-disciplinary projects, with strong leadership and cost-management skills.

Qualifications

• Experience with large-scale multidisciplinary projects and high-value contracts.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to innovate in cost management.
• Knowledge of contract forms (NEC, FIDIC) and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the commercial strategy for the project and adapt it in consultation with the Commercial Manager.
• Represent the company in commercial and contractual matters, ensuring entitlements are maintained and protected.
• Lead procurement activities including tenders, subcontract selection and order management to final account.
• Prepare and present financial forecasts, cash flow projections, reconciliations and valuations.
• Manage variations with accurate supporting records and agree final accounts on time.
• Ensure compliance across contracts including traditional, design & build, and projects €5m–€15m.
• Mentor junior commercial staff and provide training on measurement, reporting and procedures.
• Provide regular reporting to senior management on performance, risks and opportunities.
